Right.

What the heck did I come in here for?

Figures, I can’t remember squat

Till I get my caffeine elixir.

This isn’t the kitchen, so I wasn’t coming to make it…

Wait! I did make myself a cup!

Where’d I put it?

Retrace my steps…

Hey, there it is! Figures it would be in the craft room.

Except…

I wasn’t in here this morning.

Oh, this is from two days ago.

At least I finished the gluing, now all I have to do is sand, then polish.

That will be an awesome pendant, star ruby in a frame of oak wood.

Is that mold? Ugh.

Well, let’s get rid of-

Oh, that’s right! I went into the bedroom.

There it is! – Oh, no, that was last night’s cup.

This is such a good book! I wanted to read some more,

But I also needed to sleep.

I wonder if I have time to sneak a quick chapter?

(two hours later)

Good ending! That was satisfying.

Why do I have a headache? I could have sworn-

I haven’t had my morning caffeine yet! Augh!

I haven’t had any hydration since I came in here!

That’s it, I need my coffee…

Do I have a clean mug? I should start some dishes…

While they soak, I’ll facilitate.

Is that my mug?

Ah, no. That’s my Misc Mug.

You know, the one you do misc things with?

In this case, cleaning my travel toothbrush with hydrogen peroxide

After vacation, last weekend.

Then I can pack it again in my travel case.

It was a great trip! Some lovely beach time,

And the stormy weather kept most people away.

The mockingbirds, the fish crows, and the laughing gulls

In a three-way battle for the spilled fries.

Eating some ice cream, and some fried food,

Neither of which I’m supposed to have.

Ah, well, an occasional treat won’t-

My caffeine!!!

I never put a cup of water in the nuker!

Right. Back to wash at least one dish…

Did I stash it in the breakfast nook? I did have breakfast there.

Dishes are still there…

And a cup!

Ah, no, that was for my orange juice.

That’s right, I used a mug for it, since I didn’t have any glasses left.

Sigh. Dishes…

Let’s get a load of mugs started, since I’ve collected so many.

But I really should do glassware first.

That’s the way Mom taught me. Lightest greasy to most greasy, right?

Now I really need coffee…

Aw, look at this cup! I made it in pottery class.

Yeah, it’s bad.

The other two attempts blew up in the kilns.

Ever see people ready to eject a student? It was close.

I got a passing grade, barely,

But lost a few friends, when my project took out theirs.

It’s supposed to be a flower decoration. Yeah, I know.

I said it was bad.

I gave it to my former bestie to destroy,

And she slammed it hard on the sidewalk-

Didn’t even chip, see?

Misshapen, but indestructible.

No, I’ve never used it in the nuker,

I’m afraid it would take out the nuker!

...Nuker! Coffee!

Right!

Here, let me quick wash this nukable mug…

What happened to my drying towel?

Oh, that’s right, I tossed it in the laundry basket this morning,

The bacteria colonizing it demanded voting rights.

Ha! I have a clean mug!

Now, to rinse it, fill it with water,

Toss it in the nuker…

Um.

Well, hi there, mug of hot water from this morning.

Room temp, now. Whatever.

Hand me the Sanka? I no longer care.

I need to sink my fangs into my morning elixir, before it’s noon.

I need my coffee!

(Slurp. Sluuurp. Sluuuuuurrrrrpppp…. Aaaaahhhh.....)
