She seems 'pretty cool'
She doesn't go with the flow
She's got a smart mouth
And her smile has a glow
Well she gets a little tired
And she gets a little mad
I'm sure it has nothing to do with me
Maybe she's just kind of sad
She is very 'pretty, cool'
She breaks the rule of law
She doesn't carry the weight
Of her mother's prideful flaw
A girl with fire and a hard edge
Well maybe she's a little jaded
She's been fed all the wrong ideas
The real her is looking faded
Where are all those high ideals
The big talk of big dreams
All of that has been traded
For two thin golden rings
She couldn't make the bar
Could never pass that exam
So she put the pressure on you
To cover for her scam
But now I get you
you say that you are 'pretty, cool'
marry into mother's love
look like a total fool
