I call upon you now

As I know that I must go

Beneath this new moon rising

Come to me, grand mother of my soul

With your black flame burning

Stay beside me as I descend

Where darkness dismantles my shadow

Sing to me a sentiment of surrender

So that I may pass away in silence

Through my own awaiting gate

And when my fears I meet down here

Take my hand so I’ll go slowly

Witness me through my own un clothing

And when I am laid bare

please touch me with your night

Til I am sweating and seeping out

Slick enough for the slip through

Of what I didn’t know

I was still fast holding.
