Ode to a prayer

Woke up this morning and had to say a prayer for life.

The affirmation of how to make it through a day in the life.

Either on my hands and knees or in the bathroom over the faucet.

Every location can be my prayer closet.

A message from God I say to the world.

I pray for my people and I pray for the world.

To the man upstairs is who I call on or call in.

More war is there in this warfare and I’m all in.

This is my daily routine as one of life’s players.

From morning to night I can’t go a day without my prayers.
