What superhero ever saved those in safety?

What leader ever set free the liberated?

What shepherd ever led the sheep who

Already knew their way home?

What politician ever incited change

In a utopia?

What prophet ever taught the enlightened?

What mother ever cared for her child

Born grown?

What doctor ever healed the healthy?

What shaman ever cured the sane?

Your Lord God and Savior did not come to bring the perfect and blameless

Into His Kingdom, but rather

He died to restore the covenant to His promised people:

The lost, the broken, the sinful, the scarred, the hopeless, the hurting, the flawed,

The human, the harmed, the rebellious, the stray, the impoverished, and the slaves.

For what king loves and leads other kings?
