Portraits

Well, what are you staring at?

Within every moment

Within every life

There exists a smile

A snapshot

A portrait of happiness

Of the human condition

Of love

Of light

Of friends

And family

And maybe

“just maybe, tonight’s the night”

I wonder if Frank knew then

Once the years have passed

the places where

his visage might hang

A picture placed purposely

For my enjoyment, my reverie

eliciting a state of perfect ease

While my bladder completely empties

A/N:

A wee bit of fun at the expense of the Frank Sinatra picture hanging in the Italian restaurant's men's room. If you've enjoyed this, please leave a like and an insight below.
