Jagged

porcelain

drops dripping

down a celestial dome,

strategically building pace

to start breaking down the sky,

then in battalions of white daggers,

they come charging toward the earth.

These microscopic mountains

encapsulate the moments

spent in all those early months

and melt away the seasons

by freezing them in time.

Then day by day on repeat,

they land piling on the ground

like fallen soldiers pale,

until all those memories

collect and fade in flashes

to a blanket of white light.
