I have been alone all my life
As I was once a battered wife
I’ve hurt so much
No one could ever concede
What I have suffered , you would never believe
My twisted body, is gravely ill
Within my heart of hearts
There is no cure or miracle pill
I’ve served my time on this earth in pain
I’ll not be back in this way again
I’ve known so much hostility
I’ve learned the meaning of humility
as I watch the storm raging in the sky
I know my time on earth is nigh
My troubled heart is now shining in the sun
As I have no pain
I have no fear
It’s only for mankind
