Poem inspired by a dream

always dream

By Omar BadjiePublished 4 years ago 1 min read

I had a dream last night so wild and strange,

A world of wonder, filled with endless change.

I flew through the air with wings of gold,

Dodging obstacles, my heart bold.

I soared above the clouds, the wind in my hair,

Feeling alive, without a care.

I saw the world below in all its glory,

A tapestry of color, a never-ending story.

But as I flew, the dream took a turn,

A monster appeared, my soul to burn.

I fought with all my might, with sword in hand,

Until the beast was vanquished, the dream at an end.

I woke up sweating, heart racing fast,

But the memory of the dream will forever last.

I'll hold onto the magic, the wonder and fear,

And let my imagination take me anywhere.
