Poem for Peace

***

Hey You,

What are you doing?

You think sending the first strike makes you look strong,

But it actually makes you weak.

For no one wants a war,

Regardless what country you are from.

No amount of land, money or oil,

Will wash the blood off your hands.

No amount of power

Will wash the pain off your soul.

How does it feel to murder innocent lives,

Only to fulfill your plan?

How does it feel to trade lives for,

Whatever it is you are fighting for?

What does 'sacred' mean to you?

What do you relate it to?

How does it feel to disturb the peace,

And lose the respect of your fellow men

When you act as a barbarian blind man

Who will lose everything by forcing to gain?

Perhaps you should reflect,

On what it is that you are doing really,

For no one wants things to unravel beyond what one can control

And once the fire catches momentum, it is harder to stop.

But at least the spark of war that made you act,

Can be extinguished anytime, with one choice.

Perhaps you should know,

The vision of the future is held by the people,

Not by the leaders who expect to be followed wherever they want to go,

Or at least that is what the people should know,

And I shall repeat:

The vision of the future is held by the people,

Not by the leaders who expect to be followed wherever they want to go,

Or at least that is what the people should know.

So think.

What are you doing?

For instead of seeing the lines that separates us,

Think about the lines that define what is wrong.

Otherwise you will feel the cry of the people,

You will feel the anger of the souls,

You will repeat the cycles of revenge,

And you will be haunted by their suffering,

Our suffering when we bury the dead.

The World has changed now,

All nations are connected and intertwined,

The World is One now,

Whether you like it or not,

The lines are becoming bridges

The World has a Soul

Wherever you hurt its body,

Every country would know.

If my words trouble you inside,

It’s because I fight you for peace

And the people should know,

The World has a vision of unity

Through the nations that stand as one,

But never alone.

The World stands for Peace.

For Peace We Pray.
