Introduction

This is a not completely positive poem which is unusual for me about the number of times I am asked to support people in various ways such as following pages or reading articles, which I often do, but when I ask for reciprocity it’s absolute tumbleweed time. Very often I will buy things and not even get an automated thank you. Then I get more from them and this time I just don’t respond.

I am unusually going to use a biblical quote which roughly goes:

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”

The good thing is there are people who do reciprocate, I have someone who goes through my work with a fine tooth comb and sends me a direct message with all my mistakes. I will not name them because there will be others who say why don’t they do that for them? They know who they are and know how grateful I am.

I was going to do it as a villanelle but any strict format would make what I want to say impossible.
