a poem

Sitting on a platform,

Pebbles below hanging feet.

The sun sets.

Clouds move in cool breezes.

Garbage interspersed in gravel.

Broken vape pens mix with snack wrappers.

Childhood mixed with disappointment.

Such a place to share reflection,

With people I've never met.

But we all started here.

We all thought things would get better,

When we grew older.

We all know now,

That was a lie.
