platonic love
is the only kind of love i yearn for
i found that it’s the purest form of fondness
though family love is the strongest
it’s tainted with obligations and unrealistic expectations
and though
romantic love is what i was taught to search for
it is stained with sexual desire,
with;
cheating,
lying,
pain,
and jealousy
and so-
platonic love is what i cling to
to see a person,
to know them, their sins and their good works,
and willing choose to walk through life with them.
not because of obligations,
not because you both desire each-other,
but because you admire them, to the core of their very being.
