Pita Patter Tear Drops

Pita patter tear drops fall,

Quietly upon the floor,

Each one carrying a memory,

Of what once was before.

The rain taps gently at the glass,

Keeping rhythm through the night,

While shadows gather in the corners,

Beyond the fading light.

Some tears arrive from hidden pain,

Others from remembering,

Moments held so close within,

And all the feelings they can bring.

The night remains a faithful friend,

Listening without a sound,

Holding every fragile thought,

That sadness leaves around.

Though sorrow lingers for a while,

It does not stay forever near,

For healing often starts its work,

Within a single tear.

Morning slowly breaks the darkness,

Bringing hope with gentle grace,

Replacing heavy thoughts with peace,

And warmth upon my face.

The drops may fade and disappear,

As the clouds drift far above,

Yet every tear reminds the heart,

Of loss, of hope, of love.

Pita patter tear drops fall,

Then finally come to rest,

Leaving strength where pain once lived,

And courage in my chest.
