Pink Lips
A poem inspired by the colour pink
In the haze of a dream,
She came to me.
One hell of a woman.
Cotton candy pink lips pressed up against my teeth.
Between the words that we shouldn't speak.
Lipstick smeared across my cheeks.
I never knew that pink could be my favourite colour till I had it all over my face.

A Chinese proverb says, "An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle but will never break." ______________ An invisible thread connected us. No matter where life decided to take us, Across countries, Through different relationships, It didn't matter We were bound to one another. Take me back to the day we met. So I can say something, Anything else than what I did. It's like I've known you my whole life. You felt like coming home after a long day, Like picking up your favourite novel that you could read again and again. A Digital Pandemic.
After a long day in the department, Emily dropped her worn and tired dark leather bag on the counter before navigating through the small and disordered kitchen to grab a cold beer from a contrarily empty fridge. She hadn't had a chance to unpack since moving from Newcastle to Glasgow, let alone shop for sustenance, except for cold brews naturally.
