Pink In The Way We Think

Pink

Seems like a simple color really

Hated or loved, it's a true love hypocrisy

Men tend to hate it because it "ruins masculinity"

Yet some tend to wear it because they don't care about others opinions you see

The color of our skin and other extremities

The color of a beach or some well trimmed tapestries

The color that many tend to see as the most feminine or of weakest quality

Yet, as this color stems from the color red it seems it needs an apology

For red is the color of pure profound victory

So, for even yet being soft in tone, the color pink makes a name for itself all alone

Pink Panther, Pink Streets, Pink Flowers to date

I think it's time to set the record straight

For pink is not a color of weakness

But truthfully is as diligent as any for giving its thesis

Be afraid not of the color pink

For it is not a color of the weak

It is as special and unique as any other for that I can think

A round of applause for this color and its ways

For it represents equality in many days

Twist not your mind on what others think but instead remember you too are as important as the color pink
