Phoenix ash hourglass

In school, I was asked to right a story based on a Dixit card. This wasn't the original card I did, but I saw it and thought I should try it to. (I wrote my stories in poems)

She stands before it in the end

After countless people, she had to tend

She helped us all in times of need

She planted our garden from a single seed

But now is the time to start anew

From fresh eyes view the hope she grew

The pain won't end, it never does

It will be with you, just because

But new joy will come of this

So she plunges into the strange abyss

She will be refreshed, and unbroken too

And she will push right through

She said her goodbyes, and went to rest

For everyone, she wished the best

she stands before it, at last
