Perks of the Pandemic

The lower class working economy was hit the hardest, yet they were also the group that were criticized the most harshly for receiving benefits to help keep their family afloat.

This last year has been so unpredictable yet occasionally full of surprises

For the pandemic, unemployment and stimulus proved that good fortune comes in all sizes

Our economy has suffered one hell of a blow, what do you expect when you watch so many people go

The death toll has been catastrophic, the population has greatly decreased

Of course some businesses were forced to shut their doors and millions of people have deceased

How on earth is there still a shortage of jobs, I just can’t quite comprehend

It may be cause the extra unemployment pays more than so many jobs, and millions are playing pretend

They are finally getting to enjoy their family so let them ride this thing out

If the government is actually making that possible then we have nothing to bitch about

Is it because you feel like you’ve been cheated, because you can’t keep pretending too

You obviously don’t know how lucky you are, so don’t get pissed at them cause they do

Relief for the lower working class, the service industry who live week to week

Who scrimp and save to make ends meet and never have outfits “On Fleek”

Yes they are going on vacation again, and yes they finally own a car

Thank god they’re finally seeing the beach, and have a vehicle that will take them that far

Stick your nose up a little farther in the air, shrug your shoulders a little harder when you say you don’t care

I assure you they didn’t notice, and wouldn’t care if they did, because all that’s on their minds is spending quality time with their kids

Instead of being so jealous of the things you’ve had for years, why don’t you find a way to focus on your life cause the end of the pandemic is near

It’s pretty sad that it’s taken such a tragedy, for some to get the chance to enjoy their lives

What’s even sadder is the rich man’s jealousy can still be aroused and take place of his pride
