People Are Spiritual

Threads of truth, woven into the fabric of your being

People are spiritual.

It is undeniable.

Even biologists acknowledge that there is a soul.

For someone to say that they are spiritual is accurate,

but everyone is.

We were designed to be spiritual beings.

Many people may deny this truth, however.

God designed us to have a spirit, a soul, and a body.

I Thessalonians 5:23 NKJV says, "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

If God created man in His image, then the way in which He created us is triune.

Genesis 1:26 NJKV says, "Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Our spirit.

Our soul (mind, will, emotions).

Our body.

God, the Holy Spirit.

God, the Father.

God, the Son.

One day, our bodies will pass away and be buried,

just as Jesus's body was put in the tomb.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 NJKV says, "Then the dust will return to the earth as it was,
And the spirit will return to God who gave it."

Our souls and spirits will lift into the other side of eternity,

if we acknowledge, and hold, salvation.

John 11:25-26 NJKV, "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?' "
