Peaches

Brown sugar

Top Story - January 2023

I overstuffed my mouth

Full of brown sugar

Picturing you with glowing orange skin

Deep toasted brown,

Like toasted jasmine rice,

Ethereal in its aroma—-

Playing off the warm golden flow

Of the ripe peaches

That I sliced with care

You glow so high in the moon beam

Of that red black blankness

I fear I’ll never reach you again

And that you will never have my heart,

As I give it to you over and over and over

And you departed,

And I love you.

My dear Swamp Thing,

You transcended into Milky Moon space

Eyes bigger than Saturn

Hypnotic and sweet

Fervent and grasping

Lemon peaked, powerful

I couldn’t breathe as you were covering the earth sky

A Goddess that moved the tide

You held me so tight

I flew down

Straight down, through the highest mountain peak

Your breath a winsome harp-like composition

I found euphoria with you, Moon-Milk Eyes

In my dysphoric, thudding

Plucked out

Heart, veins strewn about like

Over-cooked, mushy angel hair pasta.

heartbreak
