Patiently Waiting

Singing from my broken heart in 2013.

Patiently waiting for the storm to come.

For the sea to part, for the sky to fall...

All this frustration, what can I do?

I guess keep waiting on you...

I guess keep waiting on you.

...

You've built me up just to push me down.

I was once on that pedastal, wearing your crown.

As the walls grew higher, amidst all desire, they came crashing down...

Crashing down on me...

...

Forgive me for asking, but what can I say?

Is there an answer, is there a way?

Were all your promises a pack of lies, a stupid haze?

My heart can't take anymore of this game.

These affections were not just a prize to claim.

...

Is all hope for romance a thing of the past?

Was I just a fool to think that you would last?

But I have to ask...

What can I say, what can I do?

Patiently waiting on you...

Patiently waiting on you.

...

The touch of your hand.

The gleam of your smile...

Sent me running like a silly child.

Seemed like something special, something awfully grand.

But here we are now, not like I planned.

Feeling empty, feeling distressed.

Did I fail some kind of a test?

Hurriedly awaiting the love that I need, oh...

But you won't waste it on me.

No, you won't waste it on me...

...

So what more can I say?

What more can I do?

Still keep waiting on you...?

...

I guess I better start taking my mind off of you...

Taking my mind off of you...

Cause I can't keep waiting for you.
