Parallel melodies

When a sunbeam slices through tempest's gloom

By Victor ChavarriaPublished about a month ago Updated about a month ago 1 min read

In lingering cadences, notes yearn and bend,

Lost chords adrift, where emotions wend.

A solo resounds, the heart's echo profound,

A lone melody, a spirit yet unbound.

Sustained notes, the violin laments,

Discordant echoes, the strings dissent.

A duet drafted in solo's guise, companionship unmeant,

Lost were the bars, as hope was spent.

Compasses swing, and volumes swell,

An age-old melody weaves its familiar spell.

When a sunbeam slices through tempest's gloom,

A fresh anthem arises, new harmonies bloom.

Sweet and joyful, the piano's song,

A breadth of choices in notes that belong,

Leaping rhythms, two voices soar free,

Unexpected emotions now dance jubilee.

Sweet and joyful, the piano's song,

A breadth of choices in notes that belong,

Leaping rhythms, two voices soar free,

Unexpected emotions now dance jubilee.

Different tunes weave a single choreography,

Distinct paths converge, harmoniously on key,

Composed by different hands, yet one symphony,

Two unique melodies, brother and sister eternally.
