Planes of paper.
Empty, not barren.
Patiently waiting
For cultivation.
Creased, etched, inscribed,
Torn in frustration.
Left to accumulate
Dust.
Piled high on desks.
Refuse.
Shelf warmer is better,
Best seller somehow not best.
Stained with ink in
Meticulous fashion.
Hoarded by collectors,
Disregarded by masses.
Save for those pages that
Serve them their lashes.
Paper planes fly,
Planes of paper inspire
Ink stains and confessions,
And unspoken desire.

Nice read - thanks for sharing this, John.
Lovely
Strange how paper planes and actual planes (and airports) inspire some of the same emotions noted here. Wonderful TS!
