How is it that I am unable to forget,
forget how much you mean to me.
Forget how I have been treated,
forget the pain I have suffered.
How is it that I am unable to forget,
forget the feeling of anxiety and depression I have gone through.
Forget this feeling of emptiness in my heart,
forget how broken my heart is.
How is it, that even through all the things I am unable to forget,
I am still able to love you.
I am still able to make room in my heart for you.
I am still able to forgive you but not able to forget.
Finally, I’ve seen inside you,
your heart and soul.
I am able to love you and forgive you.
But I cannot forget what I have suffered.
