She clouds my mind but I love a storm
The thunder rumbles as the rain pours
Nothing about us is subtle
As lightning paints the sky in light
We’re in trouble
With rules we won’t follow
Romance that people will ponder
But let them wonder
For they love the sun
Magnetic energy consumes us
They may want to doom us
Just because they can’t find cover
Doesn’t mean we have to dry off our love
They may like the heat of the rays
Never enjoying puddle play
They don’t have a say
In our weather
So they can predict what they want
They’ll doubt it will come
We could create a tornado
And they still won’t understand it
They see an end
But we’ve just begun
Through a tsunami or hurricane
Through a drought or fires blazed
We will always come back to a cloud gone gray
They can stay white
Think they are right
We’ll still know
Who we are when the storm warning sirens cause panic
So go to the basement
Ride out your assumptions
We won’t stay complacent
We’ll channel each other
I’ll never need an umbrella with her
Unlike others
We stay drenched in the tears of our mother
With Grace & brAvery
I hope their envy finds their own storm
Until then we’re wishing nothing but the best for them in their days of grave bound scorch
