Our Senses, Our Life!

Reminder of the gifts we have.

The world around us, full of endless wonders,

Tugs at each of our senses, lightning and thunder,

They bring us together, they pull us apart,

They help us explore with every beat of our heart.

Sight comes first, a feast for the eyes,

From the vibrant colours of the sunrise,

To the deep and endless darkness of the night,

Sight is a treasure, always in plain sight.

Hearing follows close behind, a symphony in our head,

Whispering secrets, shouting out what’s left unsaid,

The rustling leaves, the buzzing bees,

All adding to the magic of every living breeze.

Touch is next, one of the most intimate of all sensations,

From the gentlest of caresses, to the rougher sensations,

It grounds us firmly, yet lifts us to the skies,

Every soft touch, every heartwarming surprise.

Taste is a gift, it seduces and it soothes,

Teasing out endless cravings, it hails the moment that moves,

Savouring each and every flavour that dances on the tongue,

Taste is a sweet gateway, from which new stories are begun.

Smell is the final touch, an invitation to the soul,

To dive into new experiences, to never lose its goal,

From the heady scent of fresh coffee to the pungent fragrance of burnt toast,

Each scent a different world, making the senses a reliable host.

In conclusion, the world around us is full of endless wealth,

Five senses working together, and very rarely without stealth.

Together they bring us joy, and helps us to explore,

Our world, our senses, our life, so much treasure to store.
