Does the light of your soul seem to be flickering in such wretched times

Is your heart broken by the morning news and your world wrecked by someone else's crimes

So the clock strikes closer to midnight in these ever-worsening darkest hours

To many of the ones that could make things better are more concerned with amassing and abusing their powers

Realize that it's up to those that need to disconnect themselves from the ever-publicized news

And find that soft distraction to reenergize and beat back that case of the blues

Cry not yourself to sleep anymore

Talking to someone may help you smile behind that closed door

Inside the world of man, today time is shorter than ever before

Only having disgust for the world will drive you plum insane

Never should you forget that dancing in the rain will help wash away your pain

sad poetry

  • Find something, anything, to make the world just a little better rather than giving in to despair.
