A White Poppy
I am not sure what made me write this, It came to me as I was out walking. I have missed Remembrance Sunday but it seems the world is constantly at war. Imagine what could be done if the resources ploughed into destruction were put into building and eradicating hunger and poverty.

She caught herself flinching as he passed behind her, dragging his fingertips across the fabric on her chair. Without the slightest touch, she closed her eyes and disappeared into a memory of the last time he HAD touched her. Her body bore the scars that were given to remind her exactly who was in charge.

Reminds me of being buried in a graveyard. Though in the south family members put flowers on relatives graves regularly, so you are not totally forgotten
