Original thoughts, not mine

Now, for awhile

An unexpected mime

With a crooked smile

You think you know

What’s coming next

Blow by blow

Your minds complexed

Stringless puppet

With rhyming words

Copacetic

Rhythmic verbs

Look ma, no hands

Just red, wet wires

The lyric demands

To be inspired

Generic themes

And punchy timing

Exposing dreams

And clever rhyming

Driven by a need to please

Still masses left unsatisfied

Tidbits dangling to tease

Creating views personified

Something within

Pulling the strings

When it begins

The angels sing

Puppet master

And I, the muse

Talent to daze or

At best, confuse

Convinced

That you’ve discovered gold

Suspense

In what is to be told

But whose to say

It’s not been revealed

Until that day

My lips are sealed

For Funfact or fictionexcerptsslam poetryhumor
