Opened Eyes

Under watered cheeks and final breaths

There she is...

She's burned by the fire far too long

Never heard His voice, never sang His song

But soon approaches the midnight hour

Close your eyes

There she was...

Spent her years thinking she needed saving

Hard times, bad luck, bad love, counted failures

Drew me in, desperate for healing

Close your eyes

Under watered cheeks and final breaths

I held her head and sang

Hallelujah

May you go off into the unknown

Cast your fears, this is where you're from

You've been there before you were born

May He carry me, carry you

Home

Father's arms as warm as the sun

There were ninety-nine and He still loves the one

Worked your life for gold but the war is won

May you sing

"By His grace, I am home"

Defeat

Counting faults of the day as she counts sheep

Losing hope with the loss of sleep

Climbing uphill battles much too steep

Opened eyes

Victory

Looking at your past you made it here

The road was dark but the passion's clear

He's after your heart now may you see

With Opened eyes

Hallelujah

May you go off into the unknown

Cast your fears, this is where you're from

You've been there before you were born

May He carry me, carry you

Home

Father's arms as warm as the sun

There were ninety-nine and He still loves the one

Worked your life for gold but the war is won

May you sing

"By His grace, I am home"

Hallelujah

May you go off into the unknown

Cast your fears, this is where you're from

You've been there before you were born

May He carry me, carry you

Home

Father's arms as warm as the sun

There were ninety-nine and He still loves the one

Worked your life for gold but the war is won

May you sing

"By His grace, I am home"
