I thought I was in love many times

Only to find love was not there

Only a figment of my imagination of what I desired

Giving of myself without reciprocation

A love in need of emancipation

For they did not understand my destination

I closed the doors to my service

Allowing smiling faces to walk on by

No longer having time for window shoppers, bar hoppers, and late nights

When I least expected you caught my mind

You found the key I tried to hide

You gave me love I thought was blind

You showed me that I could be...
