How miserable is online dating

Seemingly with every click hope fading

With no way of sad failure abating

You think this time it will be different

+

Every person settling for the right swipe

Which in turn makes their every choice so tripe

What opening will you begin to type

As your character you attempt to hype

+

Enclosed by basic bros and dumb bitches

Leaves minds in dating bereft of riches

Makes you consider dying in ditches

Than subjecting self to the primitive

+

Oh you like Marvel films?

Oh you like Disney flicks?

Oh you enjoy hiking?

Oh you enjoy drinking?

+

No being a marvel fan is not a personality

Liking Disney says nothing of your values

Enjoying films does not tell me about you

Being a dodgers fan does not mean anything

Enjoy a drink? Congratulations you are human

Liking what everyone else does is just advanced simpery

+

Please show your ordinary habits more

Please show how childish you are at the core

Please bring all your bright red flags to the fore

That I might swipe and remember no more

+

Tell me what motive drives you in the night

Tell me what makes you rise and thusly fight

Want to gaze in your eyes and see the light

Not search and find only societies plight

+

Instead I get a meat market for all

Choice of every variety and stall

But this tiny aspect seemingly small

Will bring millennial marital downfall

+

Why subject myself to such cruel fate

Why subject myself to a stupid mate

Why stoop so low and take the meaty bait

Why partake in the vapid online date
