One Summer

Feelings Inside

By Mubarik Ahmad Published 7 months ago 1 min read

One summer, lying on the grass

Looking at the wandering clouds

I wonder where they head to

Shattered, still moving

Either it's the destination.

Or fate is just playing.

Realizing, I’m no different.

A man with a dream

Life is full of misery and

A heart full of esteem

I wonder where I head to

Struggles that never end

Burdens that pile on

I with a soft smile

A glimpse of hope and

Shine in my eyes

Trying to be perfect

Losing myself in the process

Wishes that still linger

Rattling in my heart

I wonder how to fulfil

From a young boy to a man

I’ve seen the things alone.

Eyes full of hope

Empty-handed on the road

Slowly, anxiety is taking over.

Overthinking on board

FOMO appearing along

I'm consoling myself alone.

I wonder how this will end.

Love that betrayed

Just regret that it stayed.

Memories fading slowly

and nobody beside me

A man with responsibilities

Suffering with loneliness

On a way unknown

One summer, lying on the grass

Looking at the wandering clouds

I wonder where I head to

Either it's the destination.

Or the fate is just playing.
