One Soul at Midnight

Romantic free verse

By DaphsamPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Flicking candlelight

at midnight, when XOXOs

are more than

ink drops on parchment,

a passion ablaze,

like the fire in the hearth.

*

Two bodies,

one soul,

indistinguishable,

bound in love’s embrace.

*

A love like this,

rare and untamed,

does not come easily for others.

*

To be half of

the heart of this love

is more

then I could ever dream to ask for.
