I trace the shape of your hand
on my thigh
in my mind,
only in my mind.
as you part my lips
with your mouth
you tear down every barricade
I made
so I'd survive.
I long to thrive
in the infinite haze
that surrounds us
as you toss my walls upon the floor
next to my clothes
and pull my hair
with fingers
wrapped around my face
what a beautiful
mistake
