While holding hands, they board a train
She leans against his shoulder
They run away from wind and rain
The night is getting colder
They take a seat, they flirt and smile
She whispers in his ear
This day in life, this little while
Their happy place is here
But then she sees or overhears
A message on his phone
A careless word, a flood of tears
She leaves the train alone
He stays inside, he's feeling numb
It's ruined, end of magic
He can explain, it's simple and dumb
But girls just make it tragic
He dials her number, then they fight
He's scolded by his woman
Once they make up, he joins the night
The happiest of humans
