On-line meetings during lockdown

Ludicrous Limericks

Working from home and home schooling, fondant and cake art by Robbie Cheadle

He sat on his cellular phone in the room

Having just finished a meeting on Zoom

What a frightening sight

His expression, dark as night

The seed of a monster starting to bloom

***

Endless back-to-back meetings on Zoom

Fill employees with a sense of gloom

The leader strikes like a snake

When colleagues make a mistake

When will it end and normality resume?

***

Staring at a cell phone screen all day

Instead of going out to run and play

Turns eyes vacant and round

The lack of energy is profound

Their way of life has gone astray
