On Flow (2024)
I smile as You bring Your country gold
geometric shapes, sharp contrasting light,
have never seen fame like they have today
I smile as You bring Your country gold—
Flow, You’re radiant glow, sleek grin—
taking on corporations with quarter the budget,
a team with little more than a dream,
open-source software against mega-machines,
You’ve brought us a beautiful rarity.
I too dreamt of standing on an Oscar's stage,
in tears as they read my name from the page,
though I never believed this fantasy could be true,
but You’ve shown me that passion
can conquer where sequels haven’t.
I thank You for rekindled hope
held beside my heart, as we continue
to create what is truly called art.
