Worlds left to conquer

Announcing the end of Planet Earth

Beginning with a mass migration to the skies

Cementing our legacy deep beneath the eroding dust

Draining the last of what we assumed would never disappear

Escape is essential to our future existence because we are doomed

Forever embedded in oceanic plastic

Grounded in air pollution high above the stratosphere

Handed over to the deity of judgement

Invisible and evaporating with ferocious speed

Justice in the eyes of deceased flora and fauna

Killing in the name of falsehoods and absentmindedness

Lighting the fires of carbon and prevalent gases

Mastery over fossils and bad habits from eons ago

New adventures await light years away and next door

Once was a time we had but now it's obliterated

Princes and kings laid waste to this land and we allowed it

Queens and empresses were silent as we gave birth to future failures

Rescue is not a part of the equation so we must formulate a new one

Stabbing the last dying hope of a succession that will never occur here

Time had a good run but this place has run out of many resources

Underneath boiling temperatures and wasted apologies

Vacating the premises from which we can no longer return to

Wishing on fallen stars from foreign soil and unknown coordinates

Xanthic and expiring, we left our green trees and our blue planet behind

Yesterday had our hopes up but our new home just isn't the same

Zillion and one reasons why we failed and a zillion and one reasons why we cannot seem to learn from our past mistakes
