Oh, my Darling!

Where my Soul still lives.

By Sandeep SahooPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

Oh, my darling!

My darling has echoes of a broken soul,

How do I make her joyful?

If I get away from her,

My life knocks, but I cannot answer.

I awake but leave my soul to sleep,

The days are shallow, never deep.

I move through hours, thin as air,

A shadow stitched from silent prayer.

I am just a body,

My soul resides in her body.

She is unknown, even knowing all this,

She doesn't know my love.

What will happen to me now?

Darling, if you don't listen

I will die and be lost.

My life is wrapped in quiet aches,

A sky that breaks but will not rain.

Each breath I take is a heavy stone,

With each step I make, I walk alone.

A heart that loves is always young.”
