Why did you have to take mine with you?
after intoxication levels breach there is
nothing to stem this
nexus totality of more love than thought humanly possible
interlaced with loss which proceeds to crumble the core of my earth
victory survives as a foreigner
exiled from sight-sound-presence-memory through a
rupture of sufficient violence to leave the
sky with slashes tortured and torn in places—slabs of celestial
anatomy semi-eviscerated near a bridge I planned to build as a memorial
reflection to mirror inner turmoil coated with thinly veiled pleasantries in the
years since you left…since these last dregs of passion—without hesitation—I would lay life down to gift you
