Ode To The Ordinary Day
Quotidian, "A Circadian Rhythm"
The day begins with sleepy eyes, busy lives and nine to fives,
stressful days with bills to pay, ticking clocks that just won’t wait.
Business trips and calls back home, keep you from feeling all alone,
School plays and fireflies - fireworks in summer skies.
Bedtime tales and closet doors, monsters hide, on bedroom floors,
All the things that fill a day, the moments that a lifetime makes.
the good, the bad, the in between, the little things, are all it takes,
Ordinary maybe, but really, would it even change a thing,
because life taught me that ordinary - is the breath, giving life, its zing.
