Ode to the Moon

The moon is full and round and bright,

A glowing orb in the midnight sky.

It casts its spell and holds us tight,

Our minds and bodies under its sway.

Melatonin fades and dreams take flight,

Into realms of wild and vivid hue.

We toss and turn and laugh and fight,

Our subconscious minds on full display.

But fear not, for this too shall pass,

As the moon wanes and fades from sight.

The dawn will come and bring new light,

And we'll wake refreshed and feeling new.

So let the full moon fever run its course,

Embrace the madness and let it through.

For in the end, it will be the source

Of dreams and memories that we'll hold dear and true.
