Ode to Self Truths

Start with the true blue of the sky where morality has a place,

Knowing morals exist like truth, kindness, generosity and grace;

Stand proud in presence of all morals even under dark skies

Of falsehoods conspiring reality, disseminating mass hypocrisies,

Unable to break the media bonds of tyrants and profiteers;

Conflicting messages, mass motivations of distrust and fears.

But you stand tall accepting constant change with uncertainty,

Adapting yourself to the world, not the world to yourself unilaterally.

Democratic majority wills reasons, not autocrats’ self-rule lies.

Importantly, stand tall and don’t lie to yourself for if truth dies

How do you distinguish reality within yourself for self-respect

Or respect and love for others as moral civilization destructs?

But the true blue sky covers us all, clouds may invoke answers,

Nobody survives alone where Truth and Strength claim the future.
