Ode to my Sweet Dumbo Stuffed Animal

An ode poem

My sweet dumbo,

I still don’t understand

why I left you at my parents’ house.

You would have been the perfect

companion for my daughter.

Every time I would leave I would

make sure you were sitted properly in bed.

I hope you’re not tossed around like nothing

now that I am not with you.

Maybe next time I come visit I will take you

with me.

I want you to meet my daughter and see

What a joy she is.

I want me and my daughter to cuddle you.

I must warn you that my daughter might

shake you around, but that is only to show

that she really loves you.
