I first had the chance to touch you

when my hands were clumsy and small

just a toddler trying something new.

I remember the joy

that filled my heart with glee

as if I was gifted a new toy.

Learning all the treats I could make

each time I took you into my hands

helping me roll love into everything I bake.

You travelled from grandma's house to mine

becoming a cherished item here in my kitchen

generations of memories is what you define.

You may be something old and simple

but a vital part of me since I was little.
