The Coming of Halloween

Mabon has come and gone

The days grow shorter still

Night lengthens on and on

The darkness does its will

Leaves change as days go by

Orange, yellow, red

Then slowly begin to die

Falling round my head

Pumpkins carved, candles lit

Samhain is drawing near

I’m not scared one little bit

I will feel no fear

Darkness is my friend tonight

Ghosts and spooks abound

Giving others quite a fright

But I don’t make a sound

Werewolves howl, witches fly

A vampire bite feels so right

Fog spreads out across the sky

I am reborn, a creature of the night
