Loving you is like a river,
Running wild as I try to hold on for dear life.
I can’t catch my breath.
Wait… no
It’s like the ocean,
And I am drowning tonight.
They say “learn to surf”
I never even bothered to learn to swim.
But as I stand here,
Even the sand is unsteady.
It’s hard to value solidarity,
You move so fast
And change with the moon.
I beg for calmness, but never find it.
Search for answers that I couldn’t bear to ask the question to.
Why is this so hard?
Boat tossed with the wind,
Sails fly then tear.
Ever sinking am I.
Ever sinking…
Don’t save me.
I…
I will tame you.
One day…
I will learn to surf.
