Ocean Tides and Shallow Minds
To the depths that your deepest sorrows drive you
earnestly feeling bleak signals great defeat
curating your mind to concrete feats
lamentations know you surpass all weak
insomuch as to remain sailing complete
pressured by the depths of fueled defeat
sorrows sinking hollow limiting beliefs
even treading desolate waves cannot sink thee

Thanks for reading this piece about mindsets shifting, initially inspired by premenstrual waves of defeat and feeling less than complete, but manipulated a bit for the In Eclipse Vocal challenge to reflect the state of being in eclipse plumage for two weeks.
