Obesity is killing me
My life isn’t nice and I am disgusted in me

Obesity, a weight of choice,
A heavy heart, a muted voice.
Each bite a refuge, sweet escape,
But deeper still, the soul’s landscape.
Self-inflicted, the pain we bear,
In comfort’s grasp, we cease to care.
The mirror’s gaze, a truth untold,
A battle fought in silence bold.
Sadness wraps around our mind,
In layers deep, we’re hard to find.
Yet still, the heart longs to be free,
From chains we forged so secretly.
A struggle within, a cry for peace,
In the shadows where the battles cease.
A journey out, though paths are steep,
To love ourselves, and heal what’s deep.
It seems too late, the deed is done,
In moments when indulgence was fun.
Now life fades fast, hope just a spark,
The game I played, has left a horrible mark.
Beauty once shone, now lost in time,
A fragile truth, no longer prime.
Feeling ugly, feeling never enough,
The mirror speaks, so cold, so tough.
Freedom’s door seems far from me,
A distant hope, a fading plea.
No escape, trapped in the snare,
Obesity’s cape, a weight I bear.
The path seems lost, the light so dim,
The fight within feels far too grim.
Though still, somewhere, hope remains,
A spark cry beyond the chains.
Feeling ugly, never good enough,
Finding freedom feels too hard for me.
No escape, caught in the trap
Of the self inflicted, obesity.
All this caused by rejection in love,
The feeling I was never good enough.
Mental cruelty played its part
A mind full of sadness, a broken heart
Comfort food to forget my tears
Weight crept up in Covid years.
Now in disgust I stay locked away
Indulgence in food has taken my life away.
